Welcome to esc3 DOT ORG
...
Translation: Educational Software Covering 3 "flavors" DOT ORG .
PodCasting!
While "exploring" the many uses of Drupal (a CMS), I ran across an article written by and educator
using Podcasting ... which led to a couple of "hot technologies/resources":
- Learn Out Loud
From their web site:
"What do you want to learn today?Ê LearnOutLoud.com has everything to suit
your audio and video learning needs.Ê Whether you want to speak a foreign
language, improve yourself with selfÊdevelopment audio books, or learn
about any of a thousand other things, we've got something for you.Ê The
audio and video learning revolution has officially begun.Ê We welcome you
to join us."
Like Google, LearnOutLoud offers a Podcast Directory organized by
major topics - allows one to drill down.

- Talkr
Let blogs speak for themselves! ** YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS! **
Talkr offers free subscription and allows you to link to your own blog. Talkr then allows one
to generate (on the fly) audio files (mp3's) of your blog entries with a special link.
As you may have noticed, esc3 DOT ORG has a "blog" called "opensourceblog.esc3.org". The blog application
is web based itself and doesn't allow editing the template, but one can link to your Talkr account! :)
So here's the Talkr link for the "Welcome" posting in the esc3 DOT ORG blog:
Listen to Welcome!
Now are these technologies and services COOL OR WHAT! Imagine what educators could do with this
stuff IF: 1) they knew it existed and 2) had the "freedom" to "create" within their own webspaces at/on
their own ISD web server!
